New Technologies

Reduction of Contact Friction and Abrasion between Materials
US-Semi is working with Herndon Development, LLC to license and implement a novel, patent pending method that has the potential to radically reduce static and kinetic friction and abrasion to a revolutionary degree in myriad applications. In an ideal oil or gas supported fluid bearing, the actual bearing materials do not come into contact: however, many applications are not ideal.

Advanced Two-Stroke Generator
US-Semi is working with Herndon Development, LLC to license, test and commercialize Herndon’s patent pending integrated engine/generator; a design is made possible by the same advances in power semiconductor switching and control systems used in AC Locomotives and Numeric Control machine tools. The Herndon generator is an extremely efficient, very lightweight modular system designed to run on a clean-burning, dense, low pressure, low cost, renewable and safe fuel; an ethanol and water mixture where methanol may be added as denaturant and nitromethane to provide oxidant.

Low Noise, High Efficiency, High Specific Output, Reliable Pulse Jet Engine
US-Semi is working with Herndon Development, LLC to license and implement a patent pending pulse jet engine design intended to simultaneously address the shortcomings of both turbines and pulse jets. The technology has the potential to revolutionarily change manned and unmanned aircraft designs for broad area applications and missions including transition to space. Turbine Jet engines have been developed to a high state of refinement. Continuous combustion provides full duty-cycle, high thrust-to-weight operation. Multi-stage compressors have produced high compression/expansion ratios for high efficiency.

Compact Nuclear Battery
US-Semi is pioneering the development of compact nuclear battery technology for high energy density, long-life power sources. These power sources have significant military and non-military applications for example, deep-space exploration and satellite longevity. Coupling the energy of a radiation event to the scale of the micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) device provides very efficient power generation.

Quantum Fingerprint Sensor
US-Semi’s innovative sensor technology (QF) for the detection of Chemical/Biological agents addresses the critical needs of protecting both civilian and military assets. It measures the quantum interactions at the surface based on the density of the trapping centers.

Our Mission

United States Semiconductor Corporation (US-Semi), a Delaware corporation, whose principal offices are located in Independence, Missouri, was founded in 1998 to develop and commercialize semiconductor and emerging technologies originated in national laboratories and universities. We are pioneering work in many new technologies. At the forefront of this research is the Quantum Fingerprint Chemical/Biological Sensor Technology, Compact Nuclear Battery Technology, Low Noise High Efficiency High Specific Output Reliable Pulse Jet Engine, Advanced Two-Stroke Generator, and the Reduction of Contact Friction and Abrasion between Materials.

US-Semi has expanded its range of interest and support to a wide variety of research and development initiatives, which have dynamic aerospace, military and civilian applications.

US-Semi is positioned to take emerging technologies through all phases of research, development and commercialization.
